Induction regulator

Transformer, a static device is consists of two inductively coupled windings called primary and secondary. It transfers energy from a source to a load. A transformer is consists of an iron core, primary and secondary windings with insulation, oil, main tank and conservator tank, terminal bushings, silicagel breather, Buchholz relay, cooling arrangement, tap-changing device, diverter switches and selector switches. Two types of windings are allowed here-core-type winding and shell-type winding. Induction regulator is a transformer where the axes of primary and secondary windings can be rotated with respect to each other to provide a smooth variation of voltage across the load.  Here primary winding is connected to the supply and secondary winding is connected in series with the load. This series arrangement is connected across the supply. The primary winding movement can be done with the help of a rotating core.  The secondary winding is made stationary. Here the voltage induced in the secondary coil windings depends on the position of the axes of the primary and secondary windings.
